'The Note' By Mike O'Mary is based on a true life event. you get to learn quite a bit about Mike. From his family troubles as a child/teen, to the awesome relationship he now shares with his baby sister, Sharon. She is the one responsible for this book in the first place. For one Christmas, she decided to write Mike a hearfelt note about an important memory they shared. That one note has changed Mike's life, so he decided to share this life changing event with all of us. This book is basically a how to guide on writing notes to important people that you may have forgotten. It reminds us that a note doesn't have to be super long to effect the person it's being sent to. Also, he pushes for hand-written notes over electronic ones, saying they tend to mean more to the recipient. He gives examples of excuses people give as to why they don't write them (too busy or they already know how I feel), the 4 steps to show someone how you feel when you write a note and examples of special occasions to do so. Such as weddings, graduations and funerals.

"Every note you send matters more than you can imagine."  - Mike O'Mary

You never know when that one note you send could change that person's life. Just like Mike's.

I received 'The Note' from a giveaway on Good reads. As I read this fantastic book, I felt the urge to write notes of my own. This is a great read for those who are trying to find a quick read, as well as, a meaningful one. It's not often you find a book that is so small, but packs such a powerful punch.

Mike has started a website to help with notes called:
                    http://www.dreamofthings.com
or the blog at  http://dreamofthings.com/category/blog

On it he has more information and advice, gift books, gift cards, free e-cards and videos that can be shared with your friends and family.
